I was a Starbucks drinker, and after experiences with Keurig units in hotels, a capsule cynic. My dealer gave me a sample of the coffee which was a big wow. I took it home. Nespresso.com did such an over-the-top good job of getting my first capsules to me that I was sold. It's so great that we bought the new DeLonghi machine, and I'm giving this one to my son! At .55-65 per capsule, it makes a great espresso at a great price. My neighbor with the in-wall Miele that cost $1000s likes my coffee better too.

While I do not consider myself a coffee snob, I am very particular about coffee I drink. Also, I?ve not the time or patience to wrangle the gear for a real good cup of espresso at home so day to day, it was Starbucks or nothing. Until now. The ?with Milk? model I purchased includes a frother which is absolutely amazing and, for me, worth the additional $. I get my espresso, cappuccino fix virtually on demand and it rivals any Barista?s handiwork. If truly exceptional coffee compared to the other?s capsules is not enough, what further distinguishes Nespresso is their club service. WOW! Post sale customer service is unparalleled from my experience. On-line ordering is easy and convenient. The per-capsule price is comparable to other?s some more/ less but not by much. But the Gran Crus taste difference outpaces the others by a significant margin. The machine is well built, easy to use and the art deco-esque style is really easy on the eyes; quintessential Italian styling

I've bought four of these in the past two years. Two have been for my mother, a life-long Louisiana coffee and chicory drinker. I bought her a second one, because she was carrying the first one back and forth to her weekend home! Now, she wouldn't be without it. The machine makes espresso and espresso-based drinks that, with sugar-free syrups and zero-percent milk, exceed what's available at Starbucks--for a fraction of the cost and no drive-through line. The companion Aerocino froths (non-fat) milk that you can walk across. Cappuccinos, Cuban cafecitos? No problem. What sold me on these machines was an in-store test at Sur La Table. They brewed me a doubles espresso in a $3000 machine and in a CitiZ with Ristretto. The CitiZ won hands down for flavor and creme. If you en joy espresso, this is the machine for you. If you enjoy espresso-based drinks, buy the companion Aerocino. You will not be disappointed.

I bought this machine because I had a feeling that it would give me a consistent cup every time, and yes, this has been the case. I also like the clean, compact look of it, but mainly it's the taste that I really enjoy.
